“My Boundaries – My Rights”
On February 18, 2026, a discussion titled “My Boundaries – My Rights” was held for students of M. Auezov College. The event was organized in the format of film screenings followed by an open discussion.
The purpose of the discussion was to provide students with a deeper understanding of personal boundaries, raise awareness about violence, coercion, and stalking, improve legal literacy, and develop safe behavior skills.
During the event, students watched short films depicting situations of psychological pressure, intimidation, harassment, and coercion that may occur in everyday life. After the screenings, participants shared their opinions and discussed the actions of the characters.
The discussion covered the following topics:

What personal boundaries are and how to protect them;

Types of violence (psychological, physical, online pressure);

Signs of coercion and the right to say “no”;

The dangers of stalking and ways to protect oneself;

When it is necessary to seek help.
Students noted that violence is not limited to physical actions—verbal abuse, pressure, and intimidation are also violations of rights. It was also emphasized that every person has the full right to say “no,” and any action without consent is unacceptable.
During the discussion, participants were active and freely expressed their viewpoints. The open dialogue contributed to the development of critical thinking and a better understanding of the importance of protecting one’s rights.
At the end of the event, students highlighted the importance of the principle “My Boundaries – My Rights” and concluded that respecting one’s own safety and the personal space of others is everyone’s responsibility.
The discussion was aimed at improving students’ legal awareness and fostering a safe and respectful environment.
