A meeting of the members of the Public Council was held in support of the referendum.
AN IMPORTANT STEP TOWARDS THE FORMATION OF A JUST SOCIETY
Today, a meeting was held with the teachers of the college SKU named after M. Auezov with the chairman of the Public Association of the Council of Women of Shymkent ZHANDOSOVA BAYAN AITBEKOVNA and the chairman of the territorial association of Trade Unions of the Center of Trade Unions of Shymkent ALTEEV Bauyrzhan ILIMSHEEVICH in order to support the referendum as part of the Shymkent City Public Council.
For the legal consolidation of the reforms proclaimed by the head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his Message, we need a referendum through the choice of the people. Obviously, this is a measure for decision-making taking into account the opinions and discussion of the most important issues for the country. If the changes initiated by the President are adopted, the country will move to the next level of political development. The reform will change the legal, party system, the principles of separation of state power.
With such steps, the President of the country calls on citizens to take an active part in making important decisions. Now, in a mixed, i.e. proportional-majority electoral system, citizens who are not party members can also be elected to parliament. In addition, citizens who are dissatisfied with the court's decision can apply directly to the Constitutional Court. Such complex changes were explained to the population in simple language.
