Congratulations!
Within the framework of the 2025–2027 grant funding competition for scientific and scientific-technical projects, the project of a scientific team composed of college researchers led by Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor S.N. Alibek, was approved under the scientific field "Social Sciences, Humanities, and Art."
Title of the scientific project: “Political Repressions in the South Kazakhstan Region in the 1920s–1950s: Based on New Materials from Regional Archives and the Memoirs of Descendants of the Repressed.”
Total funding amount: 89,646,011 KZT.
The project aims to analyze the history of political repressions in the southern region of Kazakhstan during the 1920s–1950s from a new perspective, using newly discovered archival materials and focusing on the life stories and public roles of affected individuals. It also seeks to uncover and present new archival data on the victims of totalitarian terror in the South during the Soviet era.
